Louis Vuitton has chosen 33180 as the zip code for its latest Maison located at Aventura Mall. The definite store (a temporary one was not too far from this one) opened to a large crowd that filled every corner of the two-story boutique. What’s special about it? In addition to carrying the whole LV universe of products (ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, travel, jewelry, watches, you name it…) it is the first store in North America that has “Made to Order Shoes” for men! As in other stores, women can also have custom-made bags here. The brand’s liaison with art is not missing: a sculpture by Jorge Pardo and a floral collage by Dan Colen are two permanent installations; whereas the work of Janaina Tschape is the first to be part of rotative exhibitions.Voilà!
