GO NUDE, NOT NAKED

It’s not every day that you have the opportunity to meet with ESTÉE LAUDER’s Global Makeup Artist, Lucelly Aspeitia, who is based in Mexico City but works across the Southern US, Mexico and the rest of Latin America. We met at Nordstrom Aventura, FL to experience one of the new three nude looks for the season by ESTÉE LAUDER. The idea is to enhance natural features with strategic products like the new Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Radiant Makeup to create a minimal look but not naked.

We went for the “Sunday Brunch” look that Kendall Jenner has as the image of that campaign. There are key areas to achieve it: lashes (lush-est), skin (nude), lips (full on nude), cheeks (luminous) and brows (strong). You can turn up the color for the others: “Office Pro” and “Date Night Nude”.

For mine, we started with the Advance Night Repair Serum because we needed to hydrate the eye area before applying concealer. The deal changer was the new Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Radiant Makeup foundation because it blended with my skin and made it radiant, glowing and even-toned. The texture is creamy and you can add layers if you need more coverage without feeling heavy. Not only it runs smoothly but also it is so easy to apply with its cushion stick that you won’t need any additional tools like brushes or sponges. You literally don’t feel like you are wearing foundation and you get a flawless nude finish. The reason is a fabulous formula that combines ingredients like linoleic acid with extracts from fruits and plants and elements of gold and pearls.

As for my eyes, I never thought that wearing a dark shade would be appropriate for daylight. However, the shade #2 of their Pure Color Envy Sculpting EyeShadow Palette gave it enough depth to make the color of my own eyes pop up. Lucelly eye-lined my eyes with a pencil to make sure we covered the skin area in the lash line but then she diffused it for a softer look. Full, fluttery lashes with the Sumptuous Knockout Defining Lift and Fan Mascara were it for me. No need for falsies here.

One of the most important features of your face is the eye brows, Lucelly accomplished wonders with the magic wand in the form of the brow defining pencil Brow Now. Because I went a little overboard changing the shape of my brows in my teen years, she worked with the pencil and the Double Wear Stay-In-Place Brow Lift Duo to make a more define brow shape yet, still look natural. The key, according to her, is to brush it as you apply the product.

Lip-toned shades from the Pure Color Envy Sculpting Gloss in a shade similar to my natural lip color added a touch of light to my face and I was done!
